MySql Troubles.

Hi,

  I have been trying to set up the latest version of mysql and the dbi
modules, but I have run into a few problems. Whilst the problems are
referred to in th manual the fix is not really an option.

  They suggest a patch to linuthreads in the glibc distribution. The patch
is for an older version of glibc than I am running and I am not too keen
on trying it. If this patch does fix a genuine prblems, why hasnt it been
included in the newer glibc distributions (not a dig, just wondering).

  Has anyone in here had sucess with mysql, or is the patch suitable for
my glibc (2.0.7, the patch states 2.0.5c).
