Help: problem building/running 2.2.0pre5 on LX164/SRM

Hello everybody,

I'm trying a 2.2.0pre5 kernel on an LX164 with SRM boot loader and
stock RedHat 5.2 (upgraded from RH 5.1). The build process went
seamlessly (via menuconfig, since xconfig failed). However, on boot I
get:

>>>boot -file 2/vmlinux-22p5.gz
(boot dka0.0.0.6.0 -file 2/vmlinux-22p5.gz)
block 0 of dka0.0.0.6.0 is a valid boot block
reading 171 blocks from dka0.0.0.6.0

What am I missing?

PS. Aboot is aboot-0.5-7

Thanks in advance,
