Isn't there a "will boot in the next 10 seconds unless you press enter"?
I seem to remember a timeout in the ARC bios (if autoboot is setup) that
will boot your choice if no key is pressed.  This is what I have done.

Also, if you do a shutdown -r now in Linux, I seem to recall that it only
reboots to MILO--not all the way back to ARC.  Thus, it just lets MILO
bootstrap the OS again.  I don't know how to get a restart with ARC short
of powering the machine off, which, if you do that, you might as well 
press <enter> to "Boot Linux". :)
