No, I'd rather think it's a bar with a row of LEDs, connected to a
computer. If you play a MIDI file over that flashy bar, each time you're
supposed to play a note, the light will go on above the piano key you've
got to hit to actually hear the music.

Uh mi gawd, now they can even pirate music using real instruments! ;)
