Look out for diamond-like coatings to glass or plastic lenses and other surfaces -
I think they're made, similar to some metal coatings, by vaporising carbon in an
electric arc, and having it blast onto the target by means of electric tension. No
evil inclusions that way. Size may be an issue, but I think I heard someone report
an inch of thickness, over a square meter. That only the wannabe-natural high
pressure method is reported may well be part of DeBeers' disinformation conspiracy,
to have more effort diverted to the harder way. ;)
