I remember seeing in updating some win boxes off Microsoft's
site that on fast computers it would sometimes shut down the
system before it was done syncing the disk. It wouldn't effect
you unless your system was very fast, though.
Just to bang on MS for a moment (because God knows I and
lots of others on this list love banging on MS), their 'fix' for this
was to put a delay loop in the shut down process. Hey Microsoft,
ever heard of "syncronyizing your threads"???

Even if it was mature, Travis was only planning *nix versions.
