To Whom it May Concern, I have downloaded mysql from the cd provided to me in the book "PHP: fast and easy web development" . To test the MySQL installation, at the MS-DOS command prompt I typed cd c:\mysql\bin. Followed by: c:\mysql\bin>mysqld --standalone <ENTER> I receive a BAD COMMAND OR FILENAME ERROR.
