myODBC error 2019

Hi all,

I'm using visual basic with ODBC to update my mysql databases, and 
all worked fine until now.

Now I have a new database in a different host, and when I try to 
connect I receive this error message:

Can't intialize character set 7 (path: c:\mysql\\share\charsets\) (2019)

this error happens also using Access to connect via ODBC, and the 
connection to the old database keeps working fine.

Any Idea?
