Error 1130

I just installed MySQL 3.23.44-1 on RH 7.1 using the RPMs.  It seems to work
fine...I then installed the MySQL for Win32 (same version) on a Win2k system
running on the same LAN.  On trying to connect to the linux system using

mysql -h[mylinuxipaddress] -u root -p

I get an ERROR 1130: Host 'win32compname' is not allowed to connect to this
MySQL server

How do I fix this?
